Objective
The objectives were to investigate the effects of the sowed vegetation on insects and other invertebrates in the soil and and in the vegetation and to monitor the development of the vegetation, particularly as regards the incidence of weeds and the survival of the meadow plants.
Description
The sowed vegetation is of four types: 1. Meadow plants and bushes (Prunus spinosa, Rosa canina, Sorbus aucuparia) 2. Meadow plants 3. Ley grasses with Trifolium pratense and Trifolium repens 4. Free development All plots are mowed in the autumn and the residues are removed.
